A manager is not a deposit window
The banks path named a commercial shop: deposits in, loans out, a in the middle. An is a different shop. Clients hand over a pile — a pension, an endowment, a person’s fund share — and the manager invests that pile under a document, for a fee. The pile is usually still the client’s claim. It is not, in the usual picture, a bank deposit with a public guarantee.

People say “BlackRock has my money” the way they say “the bank has my money.” Keep the hats labeled. A deposit is a claim on the bank. A fund share is a claim on a basket the manager runs. A share of the manager (BLK on this board) is a residual claim on the manager’s own business. Three sentences. Mixing them is how a person thinks a public fence wraps a fund.
Some old names wear both hats. A bank may hold -entry for funds. A holding company may own a bank and an adviser. The brand is a sticker. The license is the job. If you cannot say which child holds the deposit, you do not yet have the shop. We already taught that door on the banks path.
This classroom is neither hat. We do not take a pile. We do not run a fund. on BLK is looking at a listed manager. It is not iShares. Look. Do not buy. Not a broker. Not an . Not a . A famous shop is a name. It is not a pick. We will not size a fund.
