A mix with a job
A is not a list of names you like. It is a mix with a job: “this pile is for a decade I will not touch,” or “this is tuition to learn orders,” or “this is a tiny satellite around a dull core.” If two names have the same job, they are one idea in two wrappers.

Asset is the dull name for choosing the mix of stocks, cash, maybe bonds, maybe a sliver of something jumpy. The mix does more of the work over years than the name you added. That is not a reason to ignore names. It is a reason not to let a name become the mix.
Funds exist so you do not have to pick twenty stocks to get a stock job done. They charge a fee. They do not remove drawdowns. This classroom does not sell funds and will not pick one.
Write the job at the top of your notes. If a paper trade does not serve a job, it is a snack.
