Transmission is a chain, not a remote
People talk as if the Chair has a remote for . A policy rate is overnight money among banks. What happens after that is a chain: bills, loans, the dollar, a crowd’s guess about later meetings, then — much later — spending, hiring, earnings, and maybe last. Economists that chain . A chain has slack. Slack is not a bug you can paper-trade.
Next time you open this lesson
We’ll open this slide when you come back. This device remembers it.
Keys move the deck. N next, P previous. Ours. Not PowerPoint.
Swipe the deck. Hold Previous for slide one. A vertical swipe still scrolls the page.

The usual classroom map (Mishkin’s channels is the name people hear): an interest-rate channel (the cost of waiting and of borrowing), an asset-price channel (today-value of far cash, and how rich a house or a share makes someone feel), a credit channel (whether a bank will lend, and on what terms), an exchange-rate channel (the dollar versus another money), and an expectations channel (the crowd rewriting the next meetings before they happen). Naming the doors is the lesson. Ranking them as a dare is a pitch.
None of those doors is this desk. We will not pin a live funds rate to a chart. here is already a teaching . Stacking a policy guess on a late print is how a classroom pretends to be a desk. We will not. Nominative: Federal Reserve stays with that System. We do not speak for it.
Human: if your only sentence after a meeting is “they hiked, so must,” you skipped the chain. Sit with the chain until it is boring. Boring is allowed. Passing this path does not make you a watcher. Look. Do not buy.
Say it back below. Then the next lesson opens. If you leave the page, we will ask to save your spot.
