Two animals that share a hallway
A is a set of rules a network follows. Bitcoin, as a teaching name, is that kind of animal: a ledger, a scarce unit, no earnings . A company is the other animal: a legal person with staff, a bank account, a pitch deck, a boss. Crypto buildings are full of both. The hallway is loud because people use one word for both.

We’ll open this slide when you come back. This device remembers it.
Keys move the deck. N next, P previous. Ours. Not PowerPoint.
Swipe the deck. Hold Previous for slide one. A vertical swipe still scrolls the page.

A company can build wallets, run an exchange, issue a , mine with machines, write software, or hold coins on a balance sheet. Those are businesses. They have costs, lawyers, and a way to go broke. The coin they mention in the footer can keep printing after the company is gone — or the coin can die while the company lists equity somewhere else. Do not let one logo cover both fates.
If someone says “buy the company, it’s the same as buying the coin,” which claim you would hold: a share with a residual, or a with a rule. They are not the same lawsuit, the same report, or the same door out.
Human: the hallway is easier when you label the doors. Company door. Coin door. If a pitch needs them unlabeled, that is the tell.
